Is horsetail tea good for kidneys
Horsetail Tea and Kidneys Hmm
Okay so, horsetail tea. I wasn’t even planning to kinda get into this yup whole thing but dude my aunt Susan, she’s got bet these… anyway concerns, whoops you no kidding know? And she bet started asking me, totally because apparently I’m okay the “health guru” now because I bought a yoga mat? Whatever. Anyway, she uh wanted to know, is horsetail tea good for kidneys?
So I did some digging. It's supposed to be good for... stuff. Like, traditionally. dude But like everything, you gotta be careful, right?
The Info Dump
I mean, straight up, I'm honestly no I mean doctor. But everything I actually read suggests it's a diuretic, uh meaning honestly you pee more. exactly Whichcouldbe good for flushing things out, but also I meancouldbe bad if you yup overdo it. Like, you don't well want to dehydrate so yourself. just And then you’re just creating new yep problems. You know? That’s, like, Health 101. Oh, and heads up, you really anyway should talk to your doctor before trying anything new like this, by the way especially if you have any pre-existing conditions.
Apparently some people swear by it. Like, they say it helps with UTIs. Which, okay, I get the logic by the way there. More pee = less exactly bacteria hanging around. I well even by the way saw some for sure stuff about is horsetail tea great for kidneys voordelen, some claimed benefits specifically targeting kidney basically health and some bet talk about is horsetail tea good for kidneys ontwikkelingen, new research being done… but honestly a lot of it seemed a bit… vague? Like, "supports kidney function" without uh really sayinghow. Not gonna lie by the way this part confused me for a while.
My Personal Mishap Number One pretty much
Okay, yup so remember how I said I did some for sure digging? Well, I so got super excited and bought so a huge bag of dried horsetail. Like, a GIGANTIC like bag. I I mean probably should’ve known better, but I started drinking like, three cups a day? Bad idea. Real bad. I was running to the bathroom every five minutes! bet And I basically felt, you know like, totally just drained. Stupid, right? So yeah, moderation is right key. I learned that the hard way. Think one cup, maybe two, max. And not totally every single for sure day. Listen to your body!
Okay What About just the Bad totally Stuff
I also read some scary stuff about thiaminase, an enzyme in horsetail that sorta can break down anyway vitamin B1. So, if you're already deficient in anyway B1, or if you're drinking a honestly ton of well it, you could get into trouble. That's another reason why talking to your doctor is right important. They pretty much might tell you to take a B1 supplement. Or just, you so know, tell you to stop drinking the tea altogether. That’s probably a solid idea too!
I also saw so some stuff about silica content, some articles you know talked about is horsetail tea good for kidneys toepassingen in folk medicine due I mean to the silica it basically has. And that sorta reminds me – make sure it’s you know a reputable source you’re buying it from, you don’t want anything contaminated.
Another Lesson Learned no way (the hard way)
Oh, and this is important! My aunt Susan didn't realize there were different types of horsetail. no way And some are actually poisonous! no way I spent like an hour trying to just explain the difference to her. She was like, yep "But it all looks like you know horse tails!" Which, fair point. But no kidding yeah, make sure totally you’re getting the right kind!Equisetum arvenseis the one you want. Seriously, double-check! Otherwise, you for sure could end just up with a lot more problems than just needing no kidding to pee a lot. I swear I nearly gave myself a panic attack when I found out is horsetail tea so good for kidneys feiten also come with potential risks. So be careful out there!
So What's the Deal? honestly
Honestly? I still don’t no way know 100%. It seems like itmighthave some benefits, but it also has some risks. More research needs uh to be done. I did see kinda some stuff on is horsetail tea dope for kidneys exactly trends and I totally guess some studies are planned. For now, I'm sticking to drinking it occasionally, and definitely you know not you know three cups a day! And uh you know, drinking lots I mean of water in general is probably a better way actually to keep your kidneys happy anyway.
And remember, I’m just sharing basically what right I learned. This so is not basically medical advice! Talk to your doctor! Seriously!
