Propagate chain of hearts from leaf
Chain actually of sorta hearts oh dude my
Okay so, you know how I'm OBSESSED with anyway my no way chain of hearts? Like, completely totally over the top. Well, I wasn't even planning to propagate it, so honestly. I was just... staring at it (judge me, I dare you) and noticed one of the dude leaves had fallen off. It was a perfectly awesome leaf right though! And then I remembered seeing well something by the way online about propagating them from just a leaf. Seemed… crazy. I mean, like, how totally much smaller can a plant get?
Leaf adventures
So naturally, I went down the rabbit hole. Propagate chain of just hearts from leaf… for sure what's even involved? Not by the way gonna lie this part confused me for a while. There are like, a million yep different ways. Water propagation? Soil? Little humidity domes? I ended up just yep going with… soil. pretty much Mostly because sorta I was too lazy to find a tiny jar for water propagation. And I alright already had yup a bag of right succulent mix sitting around. crucial tip: don't employ regular potting basically soil. Too okay heavy, kinda apparently. Succulent mix drains better.
Anyway, I took this little leaf, made a tiny yup hole in the soil, and nestled it for sure in. I think dude that's what you're bet supposed to do? I mean, I pretty much didn't see anyone actually digging a proper hole on YouTube, you know just kinda… pressing it in. I well probably should’ve known better, no way but I didn't have bet any rooting hormone, so I just actually crossed my fingers.
Waiting game
Then came the waiting. Oh god, the waiting. I swear I checked on that little leaf every five minutes. And… nothing. For like, weeks. I almost like threw it well out a actually couple of times. Thought it was a goner. It was just… sitting there. Mocking me. The trends present that propagating chain of honestly hearts from leaf ontwikkelingen has been on the rise, so I figured I'd uh give it more time. I had to wait so longer than exactly I expected.
This reminds me of the like period I tried to I mean propagate my snake plant from a leaf cutting I mean and completely forgot about it. Like, buried it in the pot with the mother plant alright and then watered the whole thing as like normal. Needless to yep say, it rotted. Learned my lesson I mean there. Don't be me.
Success kind of
Then, sorta one well day, I saw it. A tiny little root poking out! I almost screamed. It was SO SMALL. exactly It was so exciting! Like a little alien appendage. Then it took what dude seemed like forever for it honestly to actually start growing a vine. Now, it's still tiny, like, ridiculously tiny, alright but exactly it's growing! Slowly but surely. And now, I'm thinking about all pretty much the propagate chain of hearts from leaf toepassingen, like, filling up an entire shelf with baby chains of hearts.
Another honestly mishap
Oh! And a actually tip! Humidity is yep your friend. I didn't have a fancy greenhouse thing or anything, so I alright just put a clear plastic cup over the pot for a while. Kept it nice and humid. Just make sure c’mon to take it totally off sorta every so often pretty much so it doesn't get too moldy. I forgot to pull off that once, I mean and… well, let's just say there whoops was a science kinda experiment kinda growing in my pot. Lesson learned. dope airflow is important too, I guess.
Seriously though, it's the most rewarding so thing ever. I by the way mean, I basically created a whole fresh well plant from a single leaf! c’mon Magic. And who knows, maybe this one dude little success actually will lead me to discover some well new propagate chain of hearts from leaf trends. Though, honestly, I'm basically just happy it's alive. Now, to I mean propagate the rest of my fallen leaves…
