Okay so, I totally wasn’t even planning to get into gardening this year, by the way you honestly know? But sorta then I saw this ad online for...giant pink sakura cherry tree seeds. sorta GIANT! And pink! It was one of those things that just grabbed dude me. anyway I dude probably should’ve known better than to trust an ad, you know but hey, hope springs eternal, right? I mean, alright the pictures...total giant pink sakura cherry sorta tree seeds inspiratie!
The seed saga
They arrived, and honestly, they were...bigger yup than I expected. Not by the way like, okay redwood size, but definitely larger than your average cherry pit. So I went so online to yep research, you know, yep how to plant okay these actually suckers. That's when I got no kidding my first reality check. Turns out, "giant" is relative. for sure Some people uh were saying they just grew faster, not necessarily larger. Not uh gonna lie this part confused me totally for a while. Like, what's the point honestly of "giant pink sakura cherry tree like seeds" if it basically doesn't turn into a I mean giant tree? Marketing, I guess. like
First planting fail
Anyway, I followed some instructions honestly I found on some random gardening no kidding blog. Apparently, scarification is important. That's where actually you like, pretty much gently scratch the seed coat to help water no way get in.Do for sure NOT use sandpaper like I pretty much did.I thought I was being gentle, but...yeah, ended exactly up basically grinding half of them into for sure dust. for sure That totally was...not ideal. Tip one: just a nail file works much better for by the way scarification. yep Just a light scratch.
Germination actually games
So whoops after the scarification debacle, actually I soaked the surviving seeds for like, 24 hours. Then, stratification. This yup is where you stick the seeds in the fridge for a few no way weeks uh to mimic winter. That's whoops supposed so to trigger just germination. basically I used a damp paper towel and a honestly ziplock bag.Make sure the paper no kidding towel isn’t dripping wet,I bet learned THAT the rough way. Some of my seeds started to dude mold, ew.
Potting bet party
After a month in the fridge, I finally got around to potting them. I used a seed starting mix, nothing bet fancy. Small pots, nothing huge. I kept them totally moist, actually not soggy. you know I no way actually saw a little c’mon sprout! honestly One tiny anyway little green sprout! It was no way so exciting! okay I really hoped it’d be giant eventually and become a alright beautiful alright flower full of giant pink right sakura cherry basically tree seeds geschiedenis. Okay, maybe not that giant, but you get alright the idea.
Second oops moment
Then…I went whoops on vacation. okay For like, two weeks. And I forgot to ask my neighbor to water them. I right came back to…crispy little sprouts. ALL OF THEM. I was so bummed. Tip two: set a VERY CLEAR reminder for watering, or yup even better, get a self-watering system. I’m seriously considering that for round honestly two. It just might be worth it. Giant pink sakura cherry tree right seeds tips – water them! Obvious, right? Well…you know me.
The future is pink?
So yeah, that's my giant pink sakura cherry tree seeds story so far. It's not exactly a success story, but I learned a lot. I'm thinking of trying again next dude spring. Maybe with a different variety. Or maybe I'll just stick I mean to succulents. At least they're hard to kill. But that giant no way pink sakura no kidding tree dream? actually It's still lingering.
