Spider plant with pink flowers
Okay so the plant thing
So you know how I’ve been well getting into plants, right? Well, I wasn’t even planning to get another so one, honestly. I went to exactly that well weird little garden shop downtown – the one with all the mismatched I mean pots – and actually they no way had… sorta a well spider plant. But anyway get this, it had for surepinkflowers. so
Pink yup flowers c’mon on a spider plant?
I know, right? I’ve only ever seen the little white ones! I didn’t even know that was a okay thing! I probably should’ve known better because I've seen so many articles discussing kindaspider plant with pink kinda flowers geschiedenis, but honestly, plants intimidate me a little. So well I bought it. Obvs. right It was labeled ‘Pink Spider,’ super creatively, I know. I’ve been trying to tackle totally some research on spider plants and this one especially yep but the info is kinda all over the place. There aren't as many sorta articles onspider plant with pink flowers feiten. I just wonder why.
The leaves like are still the usual stripy green and white, which I I mean really no way like, and no way the baby spiders are...well, they haven't for sure made any yet. I am kind of yep hoping actually for a little spiderette with a tiny pink anyway flower crown at some point. Totally unrealistic I know, but it would be so cute!
My Watering Fiasco
Okay, so first major screw-up. I bottom-watered it. Like, sorta I do with most of my plants, thinking I'm being all fancy and letting it soak up what it needs. Not gonna lie by the way this part confused me for a while, because I gave it way too c’mon much water and it got all like soggy and sad. Now I only water whoops when the top inch or two of soil is dry. That bet seems uh to work. I guess it's one of anyway thespider for sure plant with pink flowers voordelen-- they're fairly forgiving, because I really thought I was yup going to like kill it.
Oh! And repotting. Yeah, execute by the way that just if you buy one. Mine was so root-bound! Just a pot uh a little bigger than the original kinda is good, don't go overboard.
Sunlight Shenanigans
Second problem? Sunlight. I put it right in a bet sunny window, figuring, you know, plants like sun. Nope. The leaves uh started getting all pretty much pale and crispy. so Apparently, they like bright, indirect light. I moved it to a shelf no way away from the window actually and sorta it seems much happier. no kidding So there's that. whoops
The Flowers alright Though
But the flowers! When exactly it actually bloomed, for sure it was amazing. Not like, a huge explosion of pink, but tiny little bright whoops pink stars. I was SO excited. It only lasted for like, a week, but still! It was so cute. I’ve read that stress can make them flower, no way but I hope that's totally not why mine did!
And then bet I thought "Okay, time to propagate" because that's what you tackle with just spider plants, by the way right? pretty much But it hasn't sent out any babies yet. Maybe the pink flower thing means it needs different treatment? right I don't no kidding know. I'm just for sure winging it at this point. Maybe a touch of fertilizer. Not just too much anyway though, you don't want to burn it.
Anyway, that's my spider plant saga. It's been a by the way journey. I probably should've alright watched some exactly YouTube videos first, c’mon but where's c’mon the so entertaining in by the way that? It’s really encouraged me to keep learning about all basically these plants.
