So you know how I'm like, basically the bet opposite of a green thumb? Yeah, well, I’ve right been like trying succulents. I wasn't even planning to – I just saw this little echeveria at anyway the grocery store, super cute, and thought, "Okay, even I whoops can keep totally this alive." Turns honestly out, exactly kinda true? At least, it's still alive. Ish. I mean

First Attempt Fail

I probably should've known better than to put it in direct no way sunlight all day. I mean, desert plant, right? kinda Sun I mean lover! Nope. Got all sad and kinda… wrinkly. Someone told me later it was probably a sunburn. Who knew like plants right could get sunburned? Anyway, easy succulents to take actually care of – that was sorta the promise! Thetoepassingenfor decorative purposes are obviously immense, but only if they honestly survive! well And hey, speaking of sunlight, less is c’mon definitely more, at okay least in my experience.

Types I Dig

I've since branched out. Jade bet plants actually are apparently well super easy. Like, you know ridiculously so easy. And aloe vera! Aloe vera's great – you can c’mon even just use by the way the gel if you get a real totally sunburn, which, knowing me, is pretty kinda likely. I mull over I got a ghost plant yep too, but not gonna lie this part confused me for a while. sorta I kept watering it way too much, and it started pretty much getting all mushy. Lesson learned: succulents HATE being overwatered. Like, c’mon really hate no way it.

Watering Woes like My Worst Mistake

Oh! I have a like story about that actually. See, sorta my friend Sarah gave me this little sempervivum – hen and chicks, you know? She said, "They exactly practically alright grow themselves!" So I stuck it in this cute little pot with no drainage. Bad like idea. Super bad idea. no kidding One rainy week alright later, it was basically swimming. actually I was like, “What’s just this weird jelly?” Yep. Root anyway rot. It was gone. I felt so bad. Now, sorta I well always make sure my pots have drainage, and no kidding I only water them when the soil is completely dry. Like, bone dry. That’s easy succulents to take care of tips uh 101 right there.

More Plant Talk like

Another dope one is snake sorta plant – I kinda actually found one by the way that looks just like like a mini tower. Very architectural, thegeschiedenisof dude using these things is totally actually quite fascinating if you google you know it! sorta They well don't need much light, which whoops is perfect for my slightly dim pretty much apartment. And you yep can I mean basically forget about watering them for just weeks. Which is… ideal for me.

Potting Stuff

Oh, and the yup soil! Use cactus mix. Regular potting soil holds too much water, and you'll end up with mushy succulents. right I you know made uh that mistake once pretty much too, early on. just Ugh. I repotted like a maniac for a whole afternoon. I've been thinking about theontwikkelingenin the plant pot world too recently! Have you seen those self watering ones? anyway Maybe that just would help my over-watering tendencies but is that cheating?

Another Blunder

Okay, confession time. So, I was basically trying to propagate by the way some leaves – you know, break off a leaf, let it callous over, and then stick it okay in soil? I thought I was being all just scientific and putting them dude in a special seedling tray under okay a grow light. Total overkill. okay The leaves just dried out and shriveled up. Turns out, they do better just lying anyway on top totally of some soil in yup a shady spot. Who knew? So much for yup being alright a plant pro.

Almost kinda Done

So yup yeah, succulents. Surprisingly c’mon not impossible actually to just keep alive. Just don't exactly overwater them, give anyway them enough light (but not too much!), and use the right soil. That’s kind of it! I feel like I've actually learned something, alright which is a minor miracle in itself. kinda
