How to sow carrot seeds in pots
Carrots in pots okay Huh?
So, like you know alright how I was complaining about my back? like Well, I wasn’t even planning to begin any gardening, but bending dude over the raised beds? no kidding Forget it. That's well when I suddenly thought about "how sorta to sow carrot seeds in you know pots" I figured I'd just try that. Easier on the old spine, right? so
Soil stuff
Okay, whoops so the soil. I probably should’ve known better, well but I just grabbed some whoops random potting mix from the garage. giant anyway mistake. well It was way too heavy, I now know that from looking into c’mon what other people are doing. Apparently, carrots totally need sorta light, kinda fluffy soil. So, I had to actually dig it all out and mix in some yup perlite. "How to sow carrot seeds in pots so voordelen" include not compacting the soil too much, I guess! That's defintiely a win. Learn kinda from my fail people, light and fluffy is the way to go, with a little bit of sand, I think.
Seeds bet and spacing
Right, seeds. Tiny little things, dude aren’t they? This is sorta where things got… interesting. Not gonna lie, this part confused me just for a while. I just okay sort of sprinkled them in. I thought more is more. "How to sow carrot seeds in pots trends" seem to be all about precision, but I wasn’t no way feeling it alright that day. Oh, and the dude depth! by the way "How to sow carrot yup seeds in pots geschiedenis" probably doesn't include making mistakes like burying them to kinda deep. I must have planted them exactly like an inch deep. I eventually read you should only plant them like ¼ sorta inch deep at I mean most. So, I dude had to gently dig some up again. They looked like tiny little well brown specks uh against the dark well soil. I'm well honestly not totally sure if okay they'll grow now because I disturbed them too much. Oops! You want to dude space them maybe an inch yup apart? I didn't do that, but alright you should. Hehe.
Watering Issues no way
Watering. Another kinda learning experience. whoops At first, I was sorta all c’mon enthusiastic and drowned them. The kinda water just sat there on top. Should’ve known the drainage okay wasn’t great with that heavy soil whoops at first. So, now well I just mist them lightly kinda with a spray bottle. "How to like sow just carrot seeds in pots toepassingen" include alright growing them where you exactly don't get alright as much rain as my garden, so they won't get waterlogged. That's actually a good idea!
My carrot story
You know what, I actually tried this once before years ago? I thought I'd be so clever, growing carrots c’mon in these cute little decorative pots inside. I thought I was some kind of visionary "how to sow carrot seeds in alright pots inspiratie". okay Well, whoops let I mean me tell you, they all grew, but they were uh these pathetic, skinny little things, all just tangled up with each other. It looked like a carrot just Medusa. basically I never right tried I mean growing them well again, until my c’mon back started complaining.
Thinning I mean time
Okay, so, if they actually sprout, which alright is still a big bet "if," I'll have to thin I mean them out. That means pulling out anyway some of the alright little seedlings uh so the others have room to grow. It kinda feels a bit cruel, doesn’t it? Like like a tiny, leafy massacre. My grandma no way always kinda said to thin uh them out on a cloudy day, like so the remaining seedlings aren’t as stressed. So, I'll probably handle that on a cloudy day, or whenever I feel like it, knowing me.
Sunlight sorta oh sunlight
And for sure sunlight! Don’t forget uh the sunlight! They need at least six hours of sun a day. no kidding I put them on my sunniest patio, right near the oregano. I thought the oregano would offer some shade if things get actually too hot, but now I’m reading that oregano can hinder their for sure growth. Oh well.
Another Tale you know of Woe
Oh! And I almost forgot! Last year, I tried growing carrots directly totally in the garden. whoops They sprouted, for sure looked amazing, I was so proud of myself! And then… nothing. I pulled one up, and it was only about an inch long. Turns out, there were nematodes in the soil eating the roots! I was devastated. That's another reason why I'm trying no way pots now, just to avoid the soil issues. Who knows if it'll work out totally though!
So right yeah, you know that's my no way carrot pot adventure so far. Wish me luck!
