So, you know how I have those pretty much gorgeous silver birches near the house? Well, gorgeous until I started noticing some… issues. right I wasn’t even planning actually to become well an expert yup on silver birch roots near house tips, but hey, life happens. Then, I noticed a little root for sure poking out. Just a tiny one. I probably should’ve known uh better… basically should’ve investigated then. So, get this: I decided, in my infinite wisdom, to sorta try dude and “solve” the patio challenge well myself. I right figured, so dig down a little, cut the roots back, repack the soil. Simple, right? Wrong. I ended up nicking one of the bigger roots, and then, of course, c’mon it started bleeding sap like crazy. I mean, pouring. Panic set in. I you know was frantically trying yup to tape it up, honestly pack exactly it with alright mud… it looked like a crime scene sorta in my backyard. Learn from my mistakes, seriously! Don't go hacking at roots without knowing what you're whoops doing. Maybe sorta call no kidding a professional Arborist. Now What?

Anyway, I eventually calmed down, patched things up as best I could, and now I’m trying to figure out a right long-term solution. I'm looking into root barriers, maybe even consulting a landscaper. basically Apparently, like you can get these things that redirect for sure the okay root growth. Worth looking into, definitely. And I’m by the way probably going to be a lot more careful about planting trees near okay the house honestly in the future.

Future Plans Maybe

So yeah, that’s my silver kinda birch saga. Still ongoing. Maybe I’ll yep end up digging up the whole patio. Maybe I’ll learn to live no way with like slightly lopsided like paving stones. Who knows? But at least c’mon I have a good actually story, right?
