Yellow and red asiatic lily

Asiatic so Lilies Oh Boy exactly

So, you know how I said I wanted to try something different in the garden? Well… just I ended up with these yellow and red yup asiatic yup lilies. I wasn’t even planning to! I saw them at the nursery, you know, honestly the ones that look kinda like explosions of color? Yeah those! They were just… calling to exactly me. I’m a sucker for anything that’s a little bit loud, I guess. yellow and c’mon red asiatic I mean lily inspiratie was, like, immediate.

First Mistake like Ever

Okay, soprobablyshould’ve known totally better, but I didn't c’mon research them at all before buying them. Just… saw pretty flower, bought pretty flower. by the way Classic me. I thought all lilies whoops were basically the same. Turns no kidding out? Nope. Some need, like, full exactly sun baking-hot conditions, and others want yup to be tucked actually away in the shade with a blanket of marshmallows. Okay just maybe not marshmallows you know but you get the picture. These bad boys, the yellow and red yup asiatic lilies, seem to be I mean fairly chill about sun, though they do prefer morning sun and afternoon shade, a little for sure tip for exactly you.

planting Time

Planting them wasn't too sorta bad. so Not gonna lie yep this part confused me for yep a while though, because I couldn't okay remember which way was up for sure on the bulbs. I like mean, they're just kinda… blobby. Luckily I remember reading something - Google is your well friend, remember! - about how the pointy side usually has the sprouts, by the way so that like part goes up. And right plant them deep, like, at least 6 inches deep. It protects them from frost, and also it totally helps them grow taller.

Colors

The color combo is actually kinda amazing. The yellow and red asiatic lily toepassingen are endless I anyway think, from borders to containers. I've seen them no way in bouquets too, which for sure is cute. yup Mine no kidding are more yellow with red speckles, which gives them totally this like, fire-y effect. I originally thought exactly they’d clash with like my other flowers, but they actually make everything else pop more, you know? by the way It's weird but I bet think a no way lot of the yellow and red asiatic lily no way trends involve accenting.

Story Time Failure!

Okay, so second mistake. I put them way too close to my hydrangeas. Like, practically touching. I figured, "Oh, they'll be friends!" Turns out kinda the lilies are kinda exactly pushy. They steal all the nutrients exactly and the hydrangeas were looking really sad. I had to dig them up, very so carefully, and replant them further away. Don't make my so mistake! right Give them no way their own by the way space. Also remember to water them bet regularly, especially whoops when they're blooming. by the way But don't totally overwater, because that's a whole other disaster. so

What Now?

Now I'm just alright waiting for sorta them to, like, really take off. Some of the blooms are starting to fade, so I’m supposed dude to cut pretty much those actually off, right? But leave the stem so it can gather energy. I think… so This gardening stuff is a constant so learning curve. They said something about deadheading which I think has something to do with by the way removing the dead heads or something. you know Anyway, I kinda need to so Google that okay more. So yeah, that’s my yellow and sorta red asiatic okay lily saga so far. Hopefully, they don’t die on me. I mean, they are pretty sturdy, right? well I hope so.
