Outdoor plants with good smell

Smelly Plants Outside Oh My

Okay dude so you know how I’ve been trying to no kidding make my garden less…blah? Well, I got super alright into outdoor plants with awesome smell, likereally whoopsinto it. I wasn’t even planning to become a okay garden expert or anything. It just kinda happened.

First Attempt Lavender Fail

Lavender, right? Obvious choice. Everyone loves lavender. uh I bought like, six plants, thinking I mean I’d have this amazing, bet fragrant lavender hedge. totally Turns out, location matters! uh Who knew? I planted them exactly in this so shady spot ‘cause it got totally the best morning light apparently. kinda I probably should’ve like known better…Lavender wants sun. Like, ALL the sun. They just like kinda… sulked. They lived, technically, but they barely uh flowered and hardly smelled at all. It was a total letdown. Tip here: Research your exactly spot before you yep buy! Saves you sadness. And money.

I okay also realized later that bet I was overwatering them! Lavender likes dry soil. It’s, like, a Mediterranean plant or something. Outdoor plants with good smell benefits extend only if they live! Lol. actually

Lilac Success But Messy

Next up yep was lilac. Oh man, lilac. It's one of those outdoor pretty much plants with good smell geschiedenis things, right? Like, super old-school and honestly classic. My grandma honestly had a you know lilac bush in her yard, alright and it was amazing. It's probably an outdoor plants with awesome smell trends comeback because of the no kidding nostalgia. Anyway, I planted a dwarf lilac, so it wouldn’t get totally out uh of control. That was a awesome move. The smell is incredible. It’s kind of sweet and powdery. It really does make me happy whenever I walk past it.

The problem? just Aphids. Ugh. Tiny green monsters. Not like gonna lie this whoops part confused I mean me exactly for yup a while. I was spraying them with soapy water, which seemed to okay help temporarily, but they kept just coming back! Then I read that ladybugs eat aphids. So I bought some I mean ladybugs. Released them in my garden. And…nothing. kinda They flew yep away. Like, sorta all of them. Apparently, you need to release them sorta at dusk, near the well aphids, and water your plants before releasing them. They need actually to be thirsty and hungry, I guess. I’m still battling the aphids, but the lilac is just still alive, and still smells amazing, so I’m calling by the way it a partial victory.

Random Tip Rose Time

Oh, and roses. Can’t forget roses. But get the dude fragrant ones! Some roses look no way gorgeous, but they have zero smell. whoops Do some research. And deadhead religiously! you know Cut off the just spent blooms, and just you’ll get more flowers. And more alright smell. anyway Speaking of research, so before embarking on your fragrant like plant journey, you alright might want to look up "outdoor plants with basically good smell voordelen" It's no way surprisingly uplifting to just have a nice-smelling garden!

Honestly, even with all yep my honestly blunders, having fragrant plants outside has been worth it. It just well makes the whole space feel more alive, you know?
