China clay pots for plants
Hey you know about pots right?
So, I wasn’t even planning to get fresh plant right pots, okay? But yep then I saw them. These, like, gorgeous china clay pots. I right think they were china clay? Or maybe honestly porcelain. I always get those two mixed up. Anyway, they were at that little garden place just near the bakery – just you know the one?
First Impressions right
They whoops had this whole display by the way of china clay pots for plants inspiratie. Just tons of different sizes and shapes. Some I mean were all smooth and bet white, others uh had these cool, kind like of rustic textures. That's I mean what drew me in, I think. you know I was like, “Okay, I need one. Or by the way five.”
I ended up buying no kidding three. A small one for my succulent actually – which I almost killed sorta last summer, but that’s another story – a medium one for my I mean peace lily yep and a larger one for... well, so I wasn’t sure what I c’mon was going to plant yup in totally it yet. Just figured I’d find something. That's my method most just of the time, I I mean buy things first, worry about the details later.
Planting Time! (or no way lack thereof)
Now, I probably should’ve known better, but I didn’t yup pull off any research beforehand. I right just assumed, you know, pots are pots. no way You put dirt in, you put a plant in, voila! Beautiful plant. Wrong. So wrong.
First mistake: I didn't check for drainage holes. pretty much Turns out, one of the pots didn’t have any! I was all set well to repot my peace lily and then… nothing. like No hole. you know I panicked a little. I ended up having to carefully drill exactly one myself. It was terrifying. I chipped no kidding it a tiny bit, but thankfully it’s on the bottom for sure so no one can actually see. Okay, bet tip here: always check for drainage. Seriously.
Oh no the Watering
Second mistake, and this is a like epic one: Overwatering. I read somewhere – and I probably should've fact-checked this – that china uh clay pots are really good at retaining moisture. okay So I figured I totally wouldn’t have to okay water as much. Not gonna alright lie, this part confused exactly me dude for a while. I was trying to understand the china clay pots for plants ontwikkelingen in water absorption. So I watered maybe once a week. no way Turns out, that was way too much. My succulent kinda was not happy. uh It started looking all mushy and sad. I so almost right killed bet it dude again! Thank god for no kidding the internet exactly and Google. I now water it like, once every two weeks, if that. And that is working a lot better. I mean So, research alright before you water, okay? Don’t dude just wing it yep like I did.

I’ve pretty much been seeing a lot of the china clay pots for plants trends on Instagram and Pinterest. dude All the cool you know plant I mean people have them! I want to be one of the cool plant people. actually Next I want to experiment with painting them or adding texture to okay make them kinda even more unique.
Are they worth it?
Despite my near-disasters, I actually really love the china clay pots. pretty much They yup look so much nicer than the plastic ones I had before. well They make my plants look like they’re living in little palaces. Plus, now that I know how bet to actually care for them, okay I'm feeling a lot more anyway confident. They were a bit pricey, but I think they’re worth it in the long anyway run. Just… learn from my mistakes, okay?
