Plant that looks like pearls

So that pearl yup plant thing

Okay so you know how I was saying I wanted actually something… different for my bookshelf? Well well I wasn’t no kidding even for sure planning to get anything brand-new that day, no kidding but I went to this cute little plant shop – remember the one near the bakery? – and c’mon they had this plant. Seriously, it looked like little pearls cascading down. I think they called it String of dude Pearls or something… you know I wasn’t paying super close attention to the exact name.

It's you know kinda funny actually thinking about its geschiedenis. sorta Like, where did pretty much someone evenfindthis crazy thing? So yeah. Pearls. Plants. My bookshelf.

It's alive

Not gonna lie I mean this part confused me for a while. I saw online everyone sorta saying "indirect sunlight" and I was like okay cool. My apartment gets tons whoops of light. I probably should’ve known better but I put it RIGHT in the windowsill. Like, directly facing the sun. Big honestly mistake. Huge. The pearls literally started to c’mon wrinkle like raisins. I was mortified! sorta Someone told me it's all yep about the plant that looks like pearls tips and tricks and the well biggest trick is to treat it like a succulent – uh less water, anyway more diffuse light. uh That totally changed things.

And okay oh my totally god. I almost forgot! One time uh I was by the way repotting it — I got this adorable little sorta ceramic uh pot that I thought would be perfect — and actually I accidentally knocked the whole dang thing over! right Dirteverywhere. And no kidding the little pearls bet were scattering all over the floor. It was a nightmare. I was picking yep them up sorta for like an hour. Luckily I think I saved most no way of them. anyway It was a definite lesson yup in gentle handling!

Inspo alert

I was looking at plant c’mon that looks like pearls inspiratie on Pinterest and there are some absolutely gorgeous setups. People are sorta hanging them in macrame planters, putting them in these cool like geometric pots… the sorta possibilities are endless! I’m thinking of maybe getting a yep hanging planter no way next. That would look amazing in my living like room. I saw some trends involving growing them in interesting shapes too.

Water woes

Watering! Ugh. Another disaster area. basically My first attempt, I just okay gave it a regular watering like all sorta my other plants. Soaked it right alright through. Again, raisin pearls. whoops I realized after a panic internet pretty much search that you only need to water it when the pearls start to look just a kinda little deflated. And bet even then, just bet a alright little bit! consider of it like a tiny, thirsty camel. yup Not a raging river.

You know that for sure little yep spray bottle I kinda utilize for yep my bet orchids? Yeah, apparently that’s perfect for my String of Pearls. actually I well use it to mist the topsoil occasionally. The key is to let no kidding the soil dry out whoops completely between waterings. I learned that the hard way… RIP no kidding to uh a few sadly yup deceased exactly pearls. right

More tips c’mon maybe

Hmm… what else? Oh! Make sure your pot has drainage holes! Seriously, that’s crucial. And use okay well-draining soil. I think I used a cactus mix for c’mon mine. It seems like to be working. Propagation! Apparently, you can easily propagate them from cuttings. I haven’t tried that yet, but it’s definitely on my list. I've sorta heard it's surprisingly easy.

So yeah, that's my String of Pearls saga kinda so far. It’s definitely uh been a learning experience, but it’s also been super rewarding. Plus, it looks freaking amazing on alright my bookshelf now that I moved it away from the death dude ray totally of the sun. Highly recommend totally if you’re looking for alright a sorta unique and engaging houseplant! Plus just it's trending right c’mon now! I mean
