Okay so flowers in Mumbai like
So, you know how I was complaining about my no kidding balcony looking super drab? Well, I decided to do something about no way it. I totally wasn’t even planning to go full-on flower power, but… here right we are. I kinda went down a rabbit hole researching flowering plants you know for Mumbai weather and, well, the anyway balcony's about to by the way explode with color, hopefully.
First things first bougainvillea
Bougainvillea. Classic, right? Everyone in sorta Mumbai has it. The thing is, I almost killed mine. I probably uh should’ve known better…overwatering is totally a huge so problem! So now, I only water it when the exactly soil is completely dry. Like, bone dry. master from my mistakes! Also, full sun is sorta key. Remember that.
Then the totally confusion
Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while. Figuring out which like specific varieties would actually thrive. There's so much facts out there, and some of it contradicts itself! I ended up lurking on anyway a few well gardening forums specific to Mumbai, and that was actually super helpful. sorta Local knowledge, you know?
My epic mistake with Hibiscus anyway
Okay, so basically my Hibiscus actually story for sure is embarrassing. I bought this beautiful red totally Hibiscus, super cheap from a roadside vendor. anyway It looked amazing! Put like it on the balcony, so watered kinda it lovingly...and it immediately got attacked by exactly mealybugs. Turns out, cheap well plants sometimes come with baggage. I tried everything – neem oil, soapy right water... Nothing worked! Eventually, I had to toss it. Lesson learned: sometimes, yep it's worth paying a yup little more for uh a healthier, pest-free plant. Ugh. Speaking of neem oil, employ it early even if okay things seem whoops fine – prevention is better than cure. Oh by the way and don’t whoops forget to dilute it properly. I ponder I might’ve burnt whoops some leaves the first time I kinda used it.
More for sure flowering like plants yup for Mumbai
So, besides Bougainvillea and (hopefully thriving eventually) Hibiscus, right I also got some Periwinkles. Those little guys are surprisingly well hardy. They basically seem to be doing well for sure so far. I’ve exactly been seeing them all over the place as part of flowering plants for Mumbai weather trends which is why I was inspired to get them. no kidding Also, some Gerbera Daisies. Fingers crossed on those. by the way They're a bit more delicate, whoops I think. Drainage bet is crucial for well them. Make sure your pots have good drainage holes.
I also thought about getting some Plumeria, those are so pretty and fragrant! I saw some amazing flowering honestly plants for Mumbai weather feiten online and thought they were perfect. exactly But well my balcony is kinda small, and those things can get HUGE. Maybe someday, when alright I have a garden...
Flowering plants for basically Mumbai weather tips I wish I knew sooner
Okay, so here are totally a few sorta things by the way I've learned along the way, kinda pretty much random but important: Mulching! It helps retain moisture, which is crucial in right this humidity. Also, don't be afraid to prune. It encourages new growth and more flowers. And fertilize regularly! I’m using a for sure seaweed extract fertilizer, seems to be working alright well. Oh, and watch out for exactly aphids! Those little buggers are everywhere. Keep an for sure eye on the undersides anyway of exactly leaves. I mull over some people look for flowering plants alright for Mumbai weather inspiratie in local nurseries so by the way keep an eye on them as well as their health.

I’m thinking about getting some Mogra next. That Jasmine honestly smell… heavenly! I hear they like acidic yup soil, so I’ll have to do yep some research on that. I'm not sure if my balcony gets enough sun for them though...we’ll see! Wish me luck!
